Fortnite’s New X-Men Skins Are The Fastest I Have Ever Bought Anything

I have to say, I think it is wildly irresponsible for Epic to be releasing Fortnite skins that are so good that I am forced to spend money on them even as the entire global economy is collapsing all around me.

But that’s just how much I love these new X-Men skins that have just been released in the game, and boy did I just drop a metric ton of money on all of them.

These are technically X-Force skins, before comic book people start yelling at me, and they join their fellow X-Force member Deadpool, who was earned as part of the battle pass this season in a number of challenges. We just earned his X-Force grey suit today with a new set of challenges, and that’s the same moment these other X-Force skins have been released as well.

You can buy those three skins, plus back bling for each of them (a sword, guns and ammo, and Cable’s apocalypse cape) for the “reduced” bundle price of 3,000 V-Bucks, or around $30. Purchased individually, they are 1,600 V-Bucks, or closer to $15-20, depending on your “discounts” in the V-Bucks store.

But wait, there’s more! There’s also further gear you can buy like mining tools for each of them, plus a Psy-glider, for 2,800 more V-Bucks. Good lord. I had to buy the Psylocke energy blade, I just had to.

So, all in all this is around $50+ if you want everything shown here. A truly massive amount of money but man, these skins are just incredible.

Yes, Fortnite has done superhero skins in the past, but I genuinely think these are the best yet, better than Black Widow, Star Lord, Batman and Catwoman, and again, we are descending into true Metaverse territory here with so many brands under one game’s umbrella. I genuinely cannot think of another game that has put this many different IPs together in one setting. Star Wars, Borderlands, Stranger Things, the list goes on and on, and now X-Force is the latest entry.

These skins will likely cycle around a few times, but yeah, you’re going to need to figure out if you can resist them like I couldn’t. I was simply powerless, as they were just too damn good to pass up, even if my Fortnite playtime is a fraction of what it used to be. It’s like…I’m kind of collection action figures the way I used to when I was a kid, even if they just sat in my toybox most of the time.
