After weeks of teases, Epic Games has finally announced that a Harley Quinn skin is coming to Fortnite. The skin will debut in the item shop Thursday at around 7 p.m. ET and will stay there until Feb. 17. Harley's arriving in Fortnite just in time for the character's new movie Birds of Prey, which is set to debut in theaters on Friday.
The skin will feature two different versions of Harley Quinn's outfits. The first, which Epic is calling the Lil Monster XoXo Harley outfit, is similar to her costume from Suicide Squad — though there are a few differences. The second costume, which players will have to unlock by completing challenges, is called Always Fantabulous Harley and is more similar to her Birds of Prey look.
According to Epic's blog post about the skins, players will need to complete three challenges to unlock the Birds of Prey Harley outfit. The first challenge will have players finish in the top 30, then the top 20, then the top 10. For the second challenge, players will have to hit weak points, and the third involves dealing a certain amount of damage with pickaxes. Once players who have already purchased the Harley skin finish all three challenges, they'll be able to use Always Fantabulous Harley.
So far, this is the only collaboration between Birds of Prey and Fortnite that has been announced. In the past, some tie-in events have included game modes as well as skins, but having Harley Quinn join the Fortnite roster may be all this event has in store for players.
