Popular video game streamer Ninja is getting his own Fortnite character skin, Epic Games announced Wednesday.
What's going on: Fortnite will release a Ninja character skin to its platform. The playable character resembles Tyler "Ninja" Bevins, the popular streamer who has gone viral for his Fortnite prowess.
Ninja: "It happened. It's official, we finally got a Ninja skin. In the game. In Fortnite. We did it." Ninja: "I'm just really excited about this, I'm excited to share this with you guys. If you put the time in, the effort in, anything is possible. That's just facts." The character skin will be available on Jan. 16. The cost is unclear. Bigger picture: Epic Games said this is only the beginning of bringing real world personalities into Fortnite, according to The Verge. The game previously included concerts from Marshmello and Major Lazer.
The two other gamers — Loserfruit and TheGrefg — will be added, too. Creators from "games, music and entertainment" will be available under the "Icon Series," according to The Verge.
